Mr.Harshad Lahoti ,Co-founder & CEO of Ah Ventures very aptly said that Angel investors should look at investing in a portfolio of startups rather than just a few of them – this helps them diversify their risks. A CAGR of 20% would be a good return to expect.
Mr.Vikas Kumar , member of Indian Angel Network and an investor and advisor to SME Networks said that the most important two aspects to be looked at while investing in a startup is “The team and the space the company belongs to” . The idea can change and evolve over time.
Mr.Vishwas Mahajan , Tie Global trustee expressed that it is critical to have a engaging relationship with the Founder team and get regular updates from them about the performance of the business . Also that involving the investor to some extent also allows the investor to share his contacts and network wherever needed with the founders.
Right from talking to experts to networking with seasoned investors, the event had clarified the understandings and offered in-depth pros and cons of investing in Startups in India.
