Roughly the fee %age of ad-spends ranges around 7% – 14% & can vary based on the amount of $ spends. Higher it spends, lower the % age fees.

2. Fixed Hourly/Monthly Flat Fee Based Model 

In this model the agency charges a fixed hourly or monthly $ amount from the client.

3. Hybrid Model, (Fixed Fee + Percentage of Ad-Spends)

This could again be lead/sale target based model, measured along the CPL, or CPS. (Cost per -leads/sale)

For large advertisers (spending > $75k per month) – there could be a fixed retainer fee and a small % of Ad Spends (ranging 6-10%). 

For smaller advertisers; we can have a similar model. Only difference is, instead of grounding goals every quarter – we have a simple rate-card of performance bounty by various Industry verticals / sub-verticals. For e.g. for a mid-sized Apparel e-tailer, one can charge a 14% of Sale Amount (on top of actual spends) and for an Auto-dealer charge a $5 per lead generated (on top of actual spends). This makes it transparent and very well aligned with the advertisers’ goals.

4. # of Campaigns

Some advertisers follow this model where a fee is charged based on the number of active campaigns or ad groups.

For creating a new campaign with multiple Ad groups, they can charge $7-$9 per Ad group. On an average, each Ad groups are promised with 20-30 related keywords and 2 or more matching Ad copies.

For managing an existing/new campaign on monthly basis, they can charge $5-$7 per Ad group.
